got mixed feelings?

mixed feelings is a newsletter dedicated to exploring the intersecting worlds of mental health, obsessively online culture, and fandom.

Here’s what that means: You can expect highly-existential advice columns exploring your deepest insecurities like…what your hesitation in joining your friends on “Find My” says about your relationships, or whether or not it makes you a bad partner to lament your s/o’s decision to fix their crooked teeth.

You can also expect hot (but measured) takes on pop culture and fandom like the fear of stigma in doll collecting, the contentious world of custom content modifications on The Sims 4, and our society’s dire need to DTF (define the friendship).

If you’re wondering what fandom has to do with mental health, we say: everything. Because fandom represents community, passion, and, most importantly, a form of escape — all of which are inherently tied to mental wellness.

Our goal is to hook up amps, so to speak, to those who inhabit the quieter corners of the internet, and live for what they love.

So, if that sounds up your alley, subscribe to mixed feelings, for all your multitudes.

P.S. Oh, and we also occasionally do celebrity interviews of artists we love and the errant shopping story, too, because we’re only human.
